Oh Gosh, It's Been A While!!

 I can't believe so much time has passed. My 1st and 2nd year of teaching has been a lot. Time is flying and its a lot to manage on top of having a family. But it's been great experience. There's been so many tears and frustrations but there's also been a lot of great and happy times, a lot of celebrations as well. In finishing my first two years of teaching, I have finished my mentoring program that comes with being new to the district but also new to teaching. I am currently enrolled to in a STEM Certification class and it's been a blast. I will have 10 post coming up about that, 5 of which I will be writing tonight because I didn't write one a night since class started, I chose to write the 5 in one day mostly because I've been falling asleep almost as soon as I get home every night..😦I completed a STEMpact / STEM Teacher Quality program this past year, also my second year of teaching, that was both stressful and fun all in one. It was a great experience and I cried like a baby during and a few hours since the last day celebration, lol. Hopefully, I won't have so much time between blog posts.     I am not a new teacher but I am seeing things with a new lens now that I have completed the STEM quality program ( where we met :)) I will be integrating STEM forever more. Doing things that were STEM related without realizing was one thing but now doing it with intention will hopefully spark that curiosity and enthusiasm for STEM with my students and my own little one.

    Every year of teaching can be hectic hang in there you’ll find balance around year five. There is so much to learn

Teaching 6th Grade Science

Well hello everyone, Long time no hear. Having a blog is not something I'm the greatest at, lol. Well it hasn't been a full year since my last blog, so that's good. This school year has been intense and busy. I'm at a different school this year, hopefully, I won't have to move to a different school next year. Word Walls

I've always liked the idea of Word Walls but from my experience in the classrooms that I have the privilege of working in and observing in, it's hard to utilize word walls the way they need to be used, due to the lack of space in the classrooms. With district and state policies saying that there needs to be so many things on the walls already from quick step by step instructions of units that need to be up, like the fact families in Multiplication, etc., the different ways to multiply and so much more. There's not enough space to have a nice word wall without it being partially or almost completely covered. Excited About Blogging

Excitement Ozzing From My Mind!! I am so excited to start this blogging thing. It's something I've never done before but have been interested in in the past but didn't know how to get started so I just let go of the idea. I am excited to be doing this now for my Teaching Techniques education class. What makes this even more exciting is that I know this class, past classes, and future classes will help me on my journey in becoming a classroom teacher as well as helping me with the current space I have decorated and furnished below that was assigned to me by my building principal to do small group LLI (Leveled Literacy Intervention). I'm excited to see how this class will help me better teach my groups this year and better prepare me for substituting throughout the school and for my future of teaching a classroom of more than 6 students.
