Attention 1st Year Classroom Teacher

I just ended my 3rd week of school, teaching 5th grade. It's been a roller-coaster of emotions. The balancing act has been strong. There's has been and will continue to be a lot to balance, especially because I have a family and I'm very involved in my church. I have to say even with all the balancing things and the frustration there have been some amazing moments thus far. I'm very happy with my choice to be a classroom teacher. Don't get me wrong, I also enjoyed being an Instructional Aid teaching small groups for intervention and then becoming the In-School Suspension Supervisor which wasn't nearly as stressful as one would think. What helped me and has helped me personally has been God. He's been such a great anchor for me to balance myself in for the past 7 years and I will continue to fight for my relationship with Him. I want to offer other year teachers some advice: FIND YOUR ANCHOR!! Find the thing that will keep you balanced and not going insane. T...
